Privacy Policy
Prayer data deserves clear rules.
This policy is written for Praytify users and for App Store / Google Play review. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and how users can delete their account and data.

Overview
Praytify is a prayer, Bible, devotional, church community, and spiritual habit platform. This Privacy Policy explains how Praytify collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use our website, web application, iOS app, Android app, TestFlight or beta experiences, and related services.
We treat prayer data as sensitive personal content. We do not sell personal information, we do not show third-party advertising, and we do not use prayer content to train AI models.
Information we collect
- Account information, such as name, email address, authentication provider, optional profile photo, account status, and settings.
- Content you create or choose to share, such as prayer requests, praise reports, testimonies, journal-style reflections, comments, messages, groups, church membership information, ministry activity, and imported church member data where a church administrator uses those tools.
- Prayer and spiritual activity, such as reminders, streaks, commitments, devotional progress, Bible reading preferences, prayer interactions, badges, and notification preferences.
- Voice and audio data when you choose to record a voice prayer, praise report, dictation, or audio-based feature.
- Images or camera data only when you choose to take or upload a profile photo, scan a QR code, or attach media in a supported feature.
- Contacts data only if you grant contact permission and use contact-based friend discovery. We use it to help you find people you may know; we do not sell contacts or use them for advertising.
- Approximate or user-entered location information, such as city, state, country, church location, event location, or ministry location. We do not require precise GPS location for core prayer features.
- Device and technical data, such as app version, device type, operating system, browser, crash diagnostics, logs, IP address, session information, and security events.
- Payment and donation metadata if you use giving or support features. Full payment card details are handled by payment processors and are not stored by Praytify.
- Beta signup information, such as email address, platform preference, signup source, and confirmation status.
How we use information
- Provide authentication, account management, prayer requests, groups, churches, messages, Bible tools, reminders, devotionals, and related app features.
- Deliver prayer reminders, church announcements, transactional emails, push notifications, beta invitations, security notices, and account messages you request or that are necessary for service operation.
- Process voice prayers and dictation into text, summarize user-provided prayer points, and support AI-assisted features where you choose to use them.
- Operate church administration tools, member directories, visitor workflows, giving records, and ministry coordination features where enabled by churches or administrators.
- Protect users, moderate user-generated content, detect abuse, prevent fraud, troubleshoot bugs, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
- Understand aggregate feature usage and improve reliability. We do not use analytics for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.
Prayer privacy and anonymity
- Private, friends, group, church, and public prayer settings control who can see the content you submit.
- Anonymous prayer requests are designed so public responses do not display your identity. Some safety, abuse-prevention, or account-integrity metadata may still be handled internally where necessary to operate the service.
- End-to-end or client-side encryption features may be available for selected content types. When enabled, encrypted content cannot be read by Praytify in plaintext, but some metadata may still be processed to deliver the service.
- Church administrators may see church-related information needed to administer their communities, but they should use it only for pastoral, operational, and community purposes.
Device permissions
- Camera permission is used for features such as profile photos, QR scanning, and media attachment when you choose to use those features.
- Microphone permission is used for voice prayer, praise, and dictation features. Recording starts only after you take an action to record.
- Contacts permission is used for optional friend discovery. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings.
- Notifications permission is used for prayer reminders, church updates, app messages, and other alerts you enable.
- Local storage, secure storage, and offline databases may store session tokens, preferences, cached content, and encryption keys on your device.
AI and voice processing
If you use voice or AI-assisted features, audio or text may be sent to service providers to transcribe, summarize, or generate the requested response. We limit these uses to providing the feature you requested, troubleshooting, security, and abuse prevention.
Praytify is a faith and community tool. AI output is not professional counseling, medical, mental health, legal, or pastoral authority. For emergencies or health concerns, contact qualified professionals or emergency services.
Retention and deletion
- Account information is retained while your account is active.
- Prayer requests, praise reports, messages, church records, reminders, and similar content are retained until deleted by you, an authorized administrator, or according to applicable workspace settings.
- Voice recordings and uploaded files are retained only as needed for the feature, account history, troubleshooting, or user-controlled access, unless deleted sooner.
- Security, fraud-prevention, backup, audit, and legal compliance records may be retained for a limited period after account deletion where legally permitted.
- When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal account data associated with your account unless retention is required for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution reasons.
Your choices and rights
- Access, update, correct, export, or delete information through your account settings where available.
- Delete your account in the app under Settings > Account Management > Delete Account.
- Request account and data deletion from the web at Account and Data Deletion.
- Opt out of non-essential notifications in settings or through your device notification controls.
- Revoke camera, microphone, contacts, and notification permissions through your device settings.
- Contact us to exercise privacy rights available under applicable law, including access, deletion, portability, correction, objection, and withdrawal of consent.
Children and teens
Praytify is not directed to children under 13 and is not submitted as a Kids Category app. Users under the age of majority should use Praytify only with parent or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, secure authentication, access controls, monitoring, and role-based permissions. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we design Praytify around the sensitivity of prayer and community data.
